In 2011 or so I had a buddy who told me about Bitcoin. It was ~$10/coin. This guy was always scanning people, too. Anyway he tells me about the Silk Road, and that you can only purchase using this strange new Bitcoin digital currency. He couldn’t wrap his head around some aspects of it so I helped him figure some things out. I never bought any Bitcoin at the time (I’m glad I didn’t because I’d surely have lost it and I’d feel that kinda way) but this guy bought $1100 worth at $10 and bought sheets of lsd with it.
