It doesn't bode well for functional journalism. That's for damn sure but I am very happy this man gets to go home. I don't trust the US government to hold up their end of the bargain though. I hope they do but . . . our government has a really bad track record of being trustworthy.

He did his time for having a huge ego. Hacking is not journalism 😑 however. Hopefully we all can learn from this.

He wasn't the hacker though, he just published hacked materials that he thought would help him.

Clinton was going to put him in jail. He thought he'd have a better time publishing Russia leaks to help get trump elected.

Hopefully, someone will learn from this.

Is it heroic to save your own ass?

Is it a sense of duty to the people that actually drives him?

Are people really cheering because they believe in him, or because they believe in the one sided propaganda?

It's the Ego that drove him. Ultimately I'm just not that interested.
