So if I can some how get my boss to zap me it's tax free?

It's up to 25,000usd so if you make less than that, technically yes.

I'm sure they did that on purpose, doesn't help Waiters/Waitresses that make most their money on tips.

Technically, if Bitcoin isn't real currency, then if I get paid in Bitcoin and it is never fiat, why am I paying taxes for that?
