Oof. I like the Cybertruck, but when this issue happens to more trucks pulling trailers it’s going to result in Tesla being forced to say the Cybertruck can’t safely pull a trailer, and regulatory agencies enforcing that. Yes, the back end took a major perpendicular force in the demo, but there looks to be at least one case in the field of a trailer hitting a large pothole and causing the same failure. More minor forces will likely build up stress damage in other vehicles and I’m guessing that in some years, maybe months, we’ll see lots of instances of the failure.
