Thanks for your post! This is SO true! I was a long standing supporter of the CCC, gave 2 talks some years ago on the history of surveillance in the romantic period comparing it with today’s on a cultural level.

Used to listened for years to some of their flagship people’s podcasts until they started to turn away from Bitcoin (after they were one of the firsts to use it - I saw on-chain payments first at C3 in 2012; we could buy our drinks there with Bitcoin - those were the fun days)

I then became completely disillusioned with them on their stance on the Gaza genocide. I didn’t attend congress this year.

I am so utterly disappointed with that community.
