That's a very good point. Things might have been dramatically different. Some btc fan fiction where the world government cracks down immediately, completely killing growth. Not that the idea could be killed... They tried that many times and failed.
Sadly they don't want a fair system to usurp theirs. I don't want the state involved with it.
