my mother supposedly grew up poor. ok. i see no evidence of that she had a house multiple houses. anyway she once conveyed to me that her mother did not show affection to her she never said i love you. growing up both my mom and my dad talked to me like i was an adult since i can remember. one time we were in a blizzard stranded on the road in south dakota i almost got blown away when my mother reached out her hand and grabbed me at the last moment. i love you mommie.
