Nostr Web Client

A while ago I listened to nostr:npub15879mltlln6k8jy32k6xvagmtqx3zhsndchcey8gjyectwldk88sq5kv0n talk about creating a digital nation. Could Nostr, or something like it, be that new country?

- Our npub key is our citizenship, with our social status and the trust built around that. If we are a scum bag everyone knows and the digital mob shuts us out. If we interact in good faith others embrace us.

- The currency for the economy is already integrated with The Lightning Network.

- Our protection as a nation comes from our numbers and the fact that Nostr can't just be turned off. You stomp on one client and, like stomping on water, everything just flows away and pops up again

Fedi looks like, over a long enough time period, it or something like it will result in the dissolving and decentralising of all governments down to a community level.

What is a country but a collection of people choosing to be governed by a set of rules and norms?

NostrNation is a collection of plebs organized around the Nostr protocol and loosely, socially aligned with the tenants of the bitcoin maxi mentality.

Are we not already a nation of peoples?

I remember the Bitnation project was something along these lines.

But I don’t know what happened to it.

Bitnation.org is no more…
