Bitcoin running on 25 GW consumes 219 Billion units of electricity annually.
India consumed 129 Billion units of energy in March month.
In comparison, Bitcoin miners spends 7 times less energy than India.
Consuming energy is not bad, prosperity comes from high energy consumption. Energy consumed by miners goes into securing the network indirectly.
Energy consumption is not necessarily be a bad thing. We need to get to level 1 of Kardashev scale.
