Barbie was one of the lamest movies I've seen in cinema for a while.
Discussion
Visuals quickly became boring, no inspiring ideas, rubbish plot, sprinkled with highschool-level cultural critique compatible with the masses it was intended to cater to
meh
Lame? The movie can be accused of a lot, biggest problem with it for me is just overstaying it's welcome. But it is far from lame. It is an incredible take on gender roles. Could have done with some subtlety.
Haven't seen it. But I'm glad you were able to endure it. Hopefully, you won't need any therapy. 😂🤣😂
Was it like a feature length commercial for the Toy Cos?
🤮
Sad you wasted your $ to see it, but if you have a teenage daughter I understand. Apparently it was one of the big tent-pole releases for the summer. If this is what Hollywood is catering to, I feel sad that there will be more of this garbage coming.
Have you seen The Banshees of Inisherin? This one is pretty good.
I’m shocked there are still movie theaters around.
You watched Barbie? Blocked and reported.
I wish I could do negative zaps
what did you expect?
I thought it was no lamer than the average DC movie. Trite, predictable, and tendentious, but with some genuinely funny moments, too.
