When you entertain the belief that there's a higher power controlling this world, your direction of inquiry often turns outward. That's the wrong direction. We are spiritual beings in human form limited by body-mind. As a spiritual being, you have never been disconnected from the source. Limitations of body-mind have veiled the source from your experience because experiences in body-mind are enjoyable only if they are differentiated with limited levels of consciousness. Indulging in those experiences can give you a separate identity with some personal characteristics that are different from another person who is also going through the same phenomenon. If both of you have briefly forgotten the connection with your source because of the indulgence in the experiencing of limited aspects of consciousness in the human form, you are unknowingly losing the true quality of your higher intelligence or higher consciousness. Then you try to reinforce your character by indulging in more and more experiences in the limited body-mind consciousness with the hope of having a better experience. Then comparisons and competitions arise.That's how ego is constructed and you hold on to it dearly to prove yourself. Fear and greed ensue.. But if you reflect upon the source of your higher intelligence within you and reconnect with it even when you are playing and enjoying yourself in the role of a character indulging in human experiences, you will not go astray and stay anchored in the higher intelligence always. God or the higher power is nothing but this source of your spiritual beingness. If you don't lose the trajectory of your inner journey tethered to your spiritual source while thinking, feeling and acting according to your human levels of logical and creative consciousness, your frequency will ascend to higher and higher dimensions for supernatural experiences.
