The attack from #Qubic is definitely not random, it was planned. However, I’m not sure we have the evidences to make the case for a state sponsored attack (if that’s what you’re suggesting).

There is certainly some bot activity going on social, but that could just be paid trolls. Exchanges stopping withdrawals could be in response of the uncertainty around block reorgs.

Tradeogre shutting down at the same time is suspicious but maybe just a coincidence?

Come-from-Beyond was co-founder of the Iota project many years ago. There was some feud between him and the other founders around IP rights which resulted in his departure. He seems like a smart immature kind of person but I haven’t seen anything indicating that he was working for a state.

Maybe that has changed, who knows…

To some extent I would prefer the idea that it’s sponsored by a state because it would show everything they have to “kill” #Monero but most likely this planned attack is not part of larger coordination efforts.
