I understand you can mine to decentralize hash, to help secure the network, but also, many people also mine to make more sats. While the ongoing energy costs are 0 sats, the costs to build the setup costs sats. You could justify it by “to help the network”, use sovereign energy, or be being more economical after X months at 0 sats/kWh, or positive sats from mining rewards after X months.

I’m not trying to be a dick or downer, I just like to run the numbers and see how things pencil out.

The setup it dope even if it can’t pencil out under current conditions. Cheers 🍻

last time one went "gold prospecting" you went down the hardware store and told the store owner that he's ⛏️ doesn't meet the ROI numbers ?

I build a tool to support the digital gold ($btc) prospecters. how you use your hashpower is down to you. I personally prefer to keep it as Satoshi intended ...solo mining on the btc network and not support the centralised pools that payout PPS etc. hope that gives some clarity 😁

Also, those who bought ⛏️ thought they were going to find gold and more than pay for the cost of the tools, and many got burned 🫤

All that being said, I dig what you’re doing! Innovation is worth it.

Do you have any parts list or rough costs on these?
