This is hard for me to talk about, tbh. I don't want to offend any other vets or, for that matter, any fiat workers.

I think the hardest part to swallow about it for most is that the enemy is much closer to us than we want to believe.
Opinion; most people need/want instruction. The result of 60 years of legacy media and public education intellectual subjugation of a populous.
It happens very gradually and those will high time preference are blind to it.
Allow me to assuage your inner conflict a bit Lucas.
As both a vet and a fiat worker, I agree π― with AK. What I didn't figure out until recently (about 5 years ago) was with advent of the internet and democratization of information, how is it most don't feel the same as AK and I in 2024.

To the state, all forms of warfare are about nothing but money and other resources. Always has been. But evolution has brought us to the stage where conventional warfares purpose has become less about making money and more about serving as a distraction from the unconventional forms of warfare that are being instilled (in terrifyingly effective fashion) into society. Fiat worker, veteran, we all unknowingly contribute to never-ending wars whether we want to admit it or not.
Imo, most can't bring themselves to the point of self-blame, so they simply shift that blame to another party; the state, an enemy nation, or just another person etc.
