Unfortunately, this is true.
Even the Israelis had this experience after Moses had freed them from Egyptian slavery.
Sad to think people are still experiencing the same dilution now.
At least we have Nostr where we can find some actual freedom minded similar thinkers.

I hadn’t realized there were so many others like me with a shared need for freedom.
