Replying to Avatar retired npub

It was just FOMO. I personally know X-ites who opened accounts but didn’t post even once. They’re merrily back on X. No one has the bandwidth to be on multiple X clones

This happened on Mastodon multiple times as well. Something happens on twitter and theres a huge exodus but they never stay

I believe the biggest reason for that is because the people exodusing there aren't that interesting and without algorithms and pre-elon Twitter's moderation they just dont get any attention or social authority. For example George Takei - he landed on some random mastodon server run by some dude. What a nightmare. Takei is on bluesky now lol

the beauty of mastodon is that you can go anywhere and you make your own following. you get many more interactions here anyway, at least I do.

Well the mastodon servers I'm describing are those insufferable bluesky-wannabe ones with a mile long block list so yeah you're probably having a much better time than those derelict accounts previously had lol
