Know the name of this "concept" (which maybe comes up less cuz DBs beefed up)? šŸ˜„

Consistent Hashing

šŸ”„ heck yea. 100% and of course you're freaking genius so you would know šŸ’Ŗ

(once at old corp ran db sharding stuff into configurable parts, that was fun and today probably way overkill lol )

To enable partitioning and reach even distribution on db shard charts 🤣. Pick some metadata, hash, md5 while condiering parts configured (on that circle) and bammm lol even DB incoming 🤣

OK. Can I get you to go more into this? I think I know what's going on but I know that I don't but I'm intrigued.

Check my below or above link lolll

OK, took a look.

I may just be a lost cause.

Carry on, Sir!

Zapped!

It’s just some software concepts used at the corps or not, or in some products you rely on . Don’t have to know it’s way overkill if you’re not into software and stuff

Sharding

Yea, was thinking specifically of ā€œconsistent hashingā€ utilized for ā€œsharingā€ so either way you got that right

Sharding** dsmmit

Dammit* 🤣 #nostr

Yeah I agree. The hashing reference is better representation for sure.

Yea, in CS. And corp interviews. Whip that one out if needed blah blah
