RUSSIA TO U.S.: WHAT DOES VANCE MEAN BY “MILITARY ACTION”?

Moscow wants Washington to explain Vance’s remarks that America has "military tools of leverage" to pressure Russia into a Ukraine peace deal.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called the statement “a new element” and said Russia expects further clarification in upcoming contacts with U.S. officials.

That’s true for both US and RUSSIA since a deal will be made against a backdrop of a nuclear stalemate. But one should not express this obvious fact since it will be perceived as a provocation that cannot be left unanswered.
