I have learned so much about rhinos tonight. The pasa link was backed by an incredible amount of good and recent papers. Only thing I ever knew about rhinos I learned at the San Diego Safari Park and they are attempting IVF in a related species to create a northern white rhino, which is impossible in the only two remaining ones. That def blew my mind that they can possibly (hopefully) do that. Anyways, thanks for the knowledge. 🤙

Yes sadly there’s only 2 female white rhinos left a mom and her daughter.
There was a male Sudan but he sadly died in 2018, he had a full time guard 24/7.
They are desperately trying IVF to bring these majestic and back from the brink of extinction.

Perhaps if some had been moved elsewhere while there were plenty left it wouldn't have been.
The environment won't care, something else always fills the vacuum.
