#MICA is coming soon to the European countries legislatives.
What do you think it will practically bring?
Do you think the impact for #btc #price and #adoption will be at the end positive or negative?

A Bitcoin le importa un bledo Mica, al resto les afecta. Los políticos ya pueden crear sus chiringuitos legales 😈

here is your mic drop!!
“Regular wallets are not obliged entities. Therefore, peer-to-peer (P2P) transactions (from a regular wallet to a regular wallet) are not in scope.”
Bitcoin P2P as intended.
Correct me if I am wrong but I think e.g. the #crypto #exchanges will need to get a #proof, the #wallet your are withdrawing to is really yours. But how? 🤔
but why on earth would anyone buy bitcoin on an exchage?!
It is the most common way, don’t say you do not know..
But back to the main topic..
but I see that as the fundamental problem.
The first line of the BTC whitepaper says peer-to-peer without financial institutions. That is what is important. How many examples of failure do we need before people start paying attention? From the early days of Mt. Gox to FTX. Get your bitcoin off exchanges and close your exchange account.
Yeah, of course, for the payments themself. But exchanges are the most user friendly “bridges” to get into the bitcoin.
I get your point, just still exchanges are the easiest way, therefore people will be using them as an option number one + as far as I know they have better exchange rates than P2P marketplaces / exchanges.
That´s the fundamental problem of changing it 😉
