It hit me that one of the things I really despise about the Twitter algo is that it made it impossible to find stuff you just saw unless you “like” it.

Shit disappears the minute you scroll away if you are lucky. If you aren’t lucky, it disappears while you’re trying to read it.

Bookmarks solve that problem now, but that was another toxic feedback loop built into that shitstorm UX. You are trained to like stuff reflexively just to have a chance of finding it again.
