It's certainly more complicated than the boogieman story we're told in the west. The pro-china perspective that I've come across is that the protests were initially organized by western foreign exchange students, and that it was protestors who initiated the violence towards the military personell who were otherwiseordersed to do nothing but look scary. Also the infamous tank picture is leaving the square funnily enough, the guy standing in the way just really wanted the smoke . Personally I'm not sure what to believe

There is something people should understand. The PRC learned lessons from what happened in the USSR at that time. They certainly conducted enough analysis to avoid the consequences faced by the former Soviet Union. The coup d'état in Ukraine in 2014, allegedly sponsored by the US Obama administration, is another example of how misinformed people are today, lacking a true understanding of history. #Nostr
