Since #Nostr and #Bitcoin are Global, shouldn't all major Nostr clients have a translator built into their app?

Yes definitely

Amethyst has this, but only the Google Play version, since it requires Google Play services in order to work. The version on nostr:nprofile1qqs83nn04fezvsu89p8xg7axjwye2u67errat3dx2um725fs7qnrqlgzqtdq0 won't work.

🤔

I use Amethyst installed by Obtainium and the translation works. But you have to choose the GooglePlay option and have the translation app installed.

LibreTranslate:

Description: self-hosted, open-source translation API that uses machine learning models.

- Features:

- Supports multiple languages.

- Easy to integrate via REST API.

- Can be self-hosted for full control over data privacy

Must be in-device AI model. All of this third party translations services sell your data to keep their services going. No one self hosts anything, unfortunately.

I self host my images, bitcoin, lightning and more.
