It has helped me connect with more Bitcoiners in my area who hadn't been to our local meetup before, or even heard that there was one! Also, as a meetup organizer, I like that I can create and announce meetup events right there in the app.

I see. Do you think you’re getting more value out of it than nostr? Or diff use cases for you? Are folks engaged on the app at all?

The membership fee is high, especially since there isn’t a free trial.

Nostr is great for online connections.

OPA is all about IRL connections.

Monthly membership is $3 (less than a beer) and can be canceled anytime.

Don’t provide your email or location data to third parties that are linked to bitcoin. This is a perfect honeypot, leaks happen no matter what.

Agreed, that's why you should make a dummy email to join OPA.

Geolocation is approximate, which means you can be anywhere in a 10 miles radius.

More importantly you can be as anonymous as you like as we don't verify anything.

Every time I go to message someone on there, I think, "What am I doing doxing myself?"
