BS! She could have given the dog to another family or person without other pets or farm animals that doesn’t hunt either!

Please let me explain. Once a dog gets a taste for livestock they will remain a livestock killer forever. Give the dog away and it will escape just to kill again. The best thing to do is put it down.

I spoke with someone at the local humane society about it once when trying to get information on how to train my dog. The lady from the humane society recommended that I put my dog to sleep. It has something to do with a “prey drive” instinct that can’t be trained away once it’s been activated.

You are obviously a dog lover, I get it. I’ve never been without a dog in my life except when I was deployed. But something that is also obvious is that you are not a farmer. Please don’t get mad at something you don’t understand. It makes you sound like a liberal college idiot.

I knew and understood that already. I don’t let my dogs escape so I can’t be the only one who knows how to handle that. I wish I was still in college, I’d be 40 years younger…
