I got some cheap out of warranty panels, and do ground mount because I mill the lumber here on site.

It's not to make a profit/save on electric bill, just the power goes out on our island all the time.

Excuse the ugly dirt, it was my garden until the kids let the sheep in and they are everything.

in future there will be mountains of old panels from people who upgrade to the latest ones here in Switzerland.

I’m thinking of ripping our 60 14yo panels (220W) down and get new ones too.

I can get the newest 425W- 450W panels for dirt cheap ~$120 a piece.

That's dirt cheap alright. Mine are rated for 240W but only give 155W peak. Turns out they wear out. Got them for less than $40/ea (in 2020) I just have a lot of them to make up for it. Another array of 18 out of frame.
