Interesting note: the potential DoJ vs Google settlement includes Google Play Store and Google Play Services, and all of their dependencies, in the definition of "Android".

So, if Google had to sell Android, it would have to sell the Play Store and Play Services together with it. That is way bigger of a sale than what I thought it would be.

I wonder if this creates a precedent for further litigation involving "Android" that it shouldn't just include the OS itself, but all the services that Google attaches to it.

Are you planning to sue Google?

Devs don't sue, devs just fork it.

an important point. Apparently they'd be allowed to "keep" Chromium

Unsure. I think that side is still up in the negotiations. I think the latest has the DoJ requiring them to sell Chrome.
