The idea of "uncanny valley" fascinates me since I first heard about it in university.

How people can much better relate to a simple line drawing

than with some animated, "human like" but most importantly much more human looking robot for example

And the same is happening all around us. I hate synthetic grass or flowers with a passion but at a certain point I will simply not know ... and enjoy the nice nature. And the same is happening right now with "AI". How many bots did I fall for on social media? How many of my follows here on nostr are actually bots?

A robot voice on the other end of the line and I hate every second of it but for all I know, those dreaded spam calls I was getting recently ... I might have falsely assumed to be talking to a real human being with a life. And once these robots walk among us and act on behalf of their owners ... what will that do to our society when we have to assume those flawed humans to actually be perfect robots acting on behalf of their masters, void of any emotions, worse than psychopaths?
