If you ever are on facebook or any social media of any kind and see some shit like this, report it asap. Primates (monkeys or apes) should never be pets, and it's illegal to have them as such in many states & countries. They are extremely social creatures dependent on the dynamic of the troop. More importantly, however, they are dependent on their mother.
Primate pets are almost always babies taken away from their moms. Mother monkeys don't give up their children easily. The primate pet trade is notorious for killing the mothers of these creatures, and stealing the baby. Or they just steal the baby from the mom and fight it off.
This causes both short and long term complications for the monkey. Developmentally, they won't have the same nutrition they would in the wild. They won't learn how to socialize properly with other monkeys. Depending on how they are raised, they may face psychological issues as well. They are prone to many of the same issues we are such as anxiety and depression, for a lot of the same reasons.
Putting monkeys in diapers is not natural for obvious reasons. Same for clothes. These creatures don't want to be dressed up like dolls for us, they deserve to be free and in the wild. One thing is for sure, none of these pet monkeys can ever go into the wild (or zoos even) again. They will become a burden for sanctuaries to deal with in the best case scenario. A burden for the caretakers until death in the mediocre scenario. Euthanized, or dead from disease, in the worst case scenario.
