US Stocks Have Strong Week, Dip on Friday

US stocks ended a strong week with a dip on Friday, but still had one of the strongest weeks of the year. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 306 points, or 0.7%, on Friday. The blue-chip index had its best week since December, with all three major indexes finishing at record highs on Wednesday and Thursday. The S&P 500 fell 0.1% on Friday and the Nasdaq was 0.2% higher. The S&P 500 rose 2.3% for the week, the Dow was up about 2%, and the Nasdaq gained 2.9%. Lululemon shares slid nearly 15.8% after weak forward guidance, while Nike shares dropped 6.9% after reporting slowing sales in China. Reddit shares were down about 8.5% after a strong debut on the NYSE. Apple shares were relatively unaffected by a Department of Justice antitrust suit.
