Anyone wanting to hide a malicious URL could just make it a username-looking hyperlink. That doesn't seem right at all lol
Markdown in normal Nostr notes (not articles) is absolutely non-standard and support for it should be regarded as a bug, not a feature.
It's good to have variety in clients. It's not good for client developers to behave like Microsoft with Internet Explorer and add "features" which break shit on any standard client.
That said, external URLs can be distinguished from internal ones through CSS, or by the user. Also note that many clients embed images automatically (this means, at minimum, sending your IP).
This could be a nice enhancement!
Create a well defined feature request and I'll get on to it! π
I have no idea how to do any of that. It's more mitigating a security risk rather than an enhancement lol
