First experience with Peony Lane, helping us ring in the New Year!

I’d heard that these wines are unique and that is absolutely true, in the best way. This Cab Franc opened up juicy and so bright it’s almost startling on first sips. But the effect keeps drawing me in for more: it’s tart, juicy and vibrant, but not sweet. A “sunny” red.

The bigger surprise was that after a couple of days to breathe, this wine completely transformed, becoming velvety smooth, like someone turned down the dimmer switch to a warm glow. So good. I’ll be curious to see if the others are so distinctive and transform so much!

Spouse highly approved. The Peony theme may have played a role; it’s her favorite and was our wedding flower.
