I wish I knew what was happening here when posting a note or direct message in nostrgram and the button changes to this.

It ends up being hung and if I'm lucky closing a dialog or switching users and coming back fixes it. If I'm unlucky, I need to CTRL+F5 the page and fight the login process first. And by then I usually forget what I was writing and of course lose the text for the message in the process.

How often does this happen? If you lose your connection it can happen but that would be very rare and only when on mobile for the most part.

It's very common. Like flipping a coin. Happened while replying to the message now in nostrgram so I had to post this via Amethyst

Just plain text posts? Nothing special in the content? I'm just trying to narrow down what it might be.

Very simple messages. All text. May have line returns.

Platform: desktop. Browser: Brave (1.49.120).

Ok so both you and #[2] are saying it happens in Brave. Brave has some quirks about it but I've got most of those ironed out. I'll see if I can put some error trapping in place and catch any failed posts and resubmit them or at least inform you that it failed and ask if you want to resubmit.

Alright I added additional error trapping. If a note fails to post after 6 seconds it will show a pop-up notifying you that it failed, attempt to reconnect to the relays and reset the post button (leaving your message in tact) so you can try again. Refresh for the update and let me know if that solves the issue.

As luck would have it I can't replicate now, but I'll let ya know next time I encounter

This has happened to me handful of times over the past week. Gets hung and don't know if the note posted or not. Most times it didn't post. At least once I made a double post. Brave desktop.

Same question: what platform (desktop/mobile)? What browser? And was the note content just plain text or was there anything special about it? Just trying to narrow down what the issue might be.

Brave/desktop. It has happened with both an image I uploaded and also plain text.
