Honestly I don't get the analogy. Nobody gives a shit what happens to the dog so long as it's taken away from its previous owner and never allowed around strangers ever again.
However many people are absolutely obsessed with making sure pedophiles face active retribution, regardless of any danger to kids. It's pretty clear to me that OP doesn't actually think about child molesters the same way they think about violent dogs.
