Folks, wanting some input for the article I’m writing:

- if you had to summarize the “culture” of bitcoin the community, politically, what would it be

- Wherever you are in the world, is bitcoin a partisan issue and why (in your opinion)

- what is the biggest risk to widespread adoption, in terms of bitcoin’s social layer? Does the social layer (politics, culture, perception) matter to you, and why?

Culture Summary: Right Leaning Libertarian. Typically hostile to progressive ideologies (hoping this changes).

Should #Bitcoin Be Partisan?: No, it’s just money. Money itself is just a thing and is inherently apolitical.

Biggest Risk to Widespread Adoption: Not welcoming groups of people who don’t share the same political ideologies. Getting completely shit on by people you respect, about things that are unrelated to Bitcoin, is extremely off putting. This has on more than one occasion caused me to question being involved in the conversation about Bitcoin online.

Just hoping if some of us start sprouting up that we can have some legitimate discourse. Otherwise saying anything left of far right just puts a target on your back.

I have had to cycle through many Nyms over the years because of this issue. I am done hiding.
