He once said, I am paraphrasing here, that any ordinary mystery novel has more to add to human thought than any book on philosophy. I took is word for it skipped him and all philosophical drivel.

Oh come on, make yourself miserable and confused about the futility of everything. Read some philosophy🥳.

😂 I filled my head up with all that shit in my 20’s.

My rule now is to read for enjoyment.

A wise choice🙏🏻. Though I do still like to punish myself with an occasional dip, ha ha.

An occasional masochist. Nothing wrong that.

Funny, I made a conscious effort to do the opposite. I opted to not confuse myself with philosophy after seeing that I'd find myself agreeing with each new thing I read, and putting it off for later in life after I had a stronger personal position. TBD if I stick with it, but right now it's doing it for me, at least the high level historical overview provided here (may not enjoy digging into any particular author deeply).

😂

If you enjoy it why not. There is no bottom and the arguments will ever persist

I dunno, I think if I just synthesize one more idea:theory, I might arrive at the final understanding

Good luck. 😂🫂
