To be fair though, this is a fight the Americans have to do themselves. It's not up to foreign companies to resist and face prison to fight against laws the American people have voted for, and continue to vote for.

It's entirely up to the American people to change their government themselves, and very cowardly of them to demand foreign companies fight a fight they're not willing to fight themselves.

If Americans aren't going to stand up for themselves, wtf should anyone else?

All these people abusing Phoenix, calling them cowards, why aren't they abusing their government? Is it because their government will do to them what they are doing to children protesting at universities if they dare complain?

I understand your perspective, however it's not quite so simple to just vote this problem away. There are significantly more steps involved than just voting.

Sure. Still, it's no one else's problem. All the abuse that Phoenix has received is absolutely wrong. Americans need to focus that anger where it belongs, with themselves for choosing the government they have.
