I think swaproot is on the right track to self custody for users that can't run a full node, and then #cashu for receiving small payments while the user is offline. For everything else, pick a full node solution. Obvously a hard wallet for larger amounts. People are running out of excuses to not self custody.
Yeah coinage as the single point of failure for all but one of the etfs plus most people's goto exchange is terrifying.
