How to maximize your chances of not getting a ticket when pulled over:
1. Pull over promptly and safely.
2. Turn off your car.
3. Turn off your music.
4. Turn on the inside lights.
5. Greet the officer with a smile.
6. Be honest and playful about your mistake. Don't bullshit.
7. Joke around and try to quickly develop rapport.
8. Always use sir/ma'am and show respect.
9. Make sure all your paperwork is in order.

Hands on the wheel with license/reg in hand and inside lights on if it’s dark. I’ve never gotten a ticket.

Yeah hands on the wheel is important, don’t go messing around looking for your wallet or whatever, they’ll just think your getting out your glock or hiding your drugs
American problems. We don't need to do hands on wheel in Canada, because we need that hand to hold our poutine.
