To not start a war.
I’m a Serbian visiting a Twitter from Serbia. For whoever doesn’t know, Serbs and Albanians are not keen on each other. So, In the past six months or so, I started getting more and more content out of nowhere with hate speech towards Serbia and Serbs. Content that is posted by Albanians and Austrian politicians(don’t know what their agenda is, don’t care). Twitter wants me to hate Albanians because a minority of them hate me. I have no doubts that similar content from the Serbian side is pointed at the Albanians, but I don’t get that served. Twitter shows me hateful Albanians but doesn’t show me hateful Serbs. Twitter wants me to hate Albanians.
It’s not likely out of nowhere. Twitter doesn’t care who you hate. You probably clicked some adjacent tweets that link to an account that is related to other accounts whose tweets you now see.
Actual proper discussions and debates vs emotionally driven arguments. ;)
