IP addresses only reveal the location of the ISP and the ISP won't give you my address except you're a glowie

I live in a city. About 600 people live in my building. In a circle of 200 metres there are 6 more such buildings. Do you really know anything about me in this scenario? My question is sincere. I'm trying to understand because I've mostly used Nostr without VPN. And if I start using it with a VPN, will it change anything? I've already doxxed my IP, haven't I?
