You should never reveal anything in DM's that you wouldn't feel comfortable revealing in a public post, since, given time and the accumulation of enough software exploits, that is what you are making. This also goes for so called "private" messengers too, encryption can be beaten by a screenshot, screenshot blocking can be beaten by a camera and a phone screen, etc. Text isn't secret, its one mistake or oversight away from being public.
