Replying to Avatar boston wine

Did Twitter (or, for that matter, Reddit, or MySpace) ever have the kind of close-knit, caring, fun-loving yet principled community that we’ve found here on nostr?

I know this protocol is young, and we all care quite a lot about its success, which is part of why it’s such a great group of people. And when “the masses” arrive, I know it won’t be the same.

But it’s hard to imagine anything like this group of people have gotten together in this way before 🤙

Google+ had a similar community during the first few years.

I haven’t experienced anything this “close” since some of the earlier web chat rooms and IRCs. Being smaller right now and more defined certainly helps.
