I'm not trying to offend rednote or their users.
I'm saying by banning TikTok the government achieved the opposite of what they said they want to do, leading people to an actual full fledged Chinese platform.
Also I feel like Nostr should be the place for people to go instead of another centralized platform, but I'm a little biased here.
yeah man understandable to be biased. let's look at what nostr can learn from this-
devs in those Chinese companies are working 9-9-6 (9am 9pm 6days, I'm not kidding) to create algos that can attract users to stay even from a country (US) that has anti-China as a common ground. there must be some core excellence inside the product beyond the CCP propaganda or whatever you are biased with.
there are a lot of 9-9-6 hardworking nostr devs who's empowering building better experience for freedom, many of them are actually learning from whatever is the good way to build a better product with less sensitivity to irrelevant factors. I really admire that.
