This conversation on 1/11/24 with the company I work for’s financial advisor is aging well (minor edits for Op Sec).

Me: Is it possible to make a custom allocation in my 401k alongside what you manage?

Advisor: You can make a custom allocation based on the lineup that is available.

Me: Where do I see the lineup that is available?

Advisor: “investments” tab -> “change my investments”

Me: I see. So no way to allocate to any of the new Bitcoin ETFs? If not, any idea when that might be possible?

Advisor: There are no plans to add Bitcoin to the 401k. If you want to purchase one of the new ETFs it will have to be elsewhere.

Me: Understood. I’ll shift contributions elsewhere.
