For those of you with nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm cloud nodes with Megalith LSP channels ..... we actually discovered a heretofore undiscovered issue with the interaction between two Lightning implementations about 12 hours ago, which led to many of the channels with LSP going down .... thanks to help from nostr:npub185h9z5yxn8uc7retm0n6gkm88358lejzparxms5kmy9epr236k2qcswrdp , who suggested finally quite a simple solution everyone else had overlooked, this problem should now be behind us. If your channel with Megalith LSP is still down, please note we're bringing up channels slowly out of caution, however all Megalith LSP channels should be back up and running within the next 3 to 5 hours.
Mine is back up, now, but would be customer-friendly to immediately post a note that there is a problem, and you are working to identify and solve it.
Everyone was just sitting there, staring at their offline channels, not knowing if you'd even noticed, and frantically @-ing you on Nostr.
i looked at their site for some kind of status and saw nothing and then see all this taproot assets marketing and i'm like
ah, ok, i heard this story before where an exchange was running trade for these "crypto kitty" things and one day i had my entire trading balance wiped out because of that being vulnerable
i work at a fiat mine where they are chasing grants and contracts with shitcoiners and i'm so sick of the charade, every other week you hear about yet another hack, yet another blockchain going offline due to bugs, so it gives me ZERO confidence that megalithic is serious about keeping their mission critical channels functioning
and here we are
probably because they are spending more money on devs and ops to do that bullshit and not on what i'm concerned about them maintaining and probably they are making plenty of money to actually pay for those channels, it's just incompetence, as well as shitcoinery, and i'm never connecting to their nodes again
