I think that's half of it. You're getting rid of blood that has x amount of heavy metals in it from environment and food and allowing your body to produce new blood.

There's also a number of studies out there that shows it reduces all cause mortality, heart disease, etc.

It's almost like blood letting was actually good for you...and how nowadays we are told it's a relic of stupid people doing stupid things.

Donating blood that frequently is great so long as you consume a relatively high heme diet. Not hard to do with good ground beef.

Yep, almost all of my meat I eat comes from beef. Need to probably eat more sardines and oysters during the summer though along with some occasional wild caught shrimp
