the future is solar panels and bitcoin miners in every home https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxQY_WpVdXs

prob should put the panels *on* on the home Β―\_(γ)_/Β―
Only issue with solar mining is that you need batteries to continue mining into the night.
Combine solar with wind or small scale hydro. I think that's the solution.
Especially if you're using wind to pump water up to a tank and then gravity feeding it through a pipe with hydro generators as you need power.
If you're somewhere with limited water you can do the same thing but with gears and weights instead of pipes and water.
You don't need batteries but they def help. Get older, less efficient ASICs to keep initial capex low. Only mine for heat or with excess energy supply. Be your own demand response. Escape predatory electric utility pricing. Stack sats privately and permissionlessly.
Throw in a house battery and a genny for peak demand and you no longer need a grid connection.
Welcome to the citadel. π°
Not unless we can get more gains from Solar per square inch
Uhhh, no. Solar is getting more efficient and cheaper every year. You don't even need high efficiency because the incentives of centralized power generation and distribution are so terrible.
The difficulty adjustment is outpacing solar gains. Source; I'm a solar installer
We are better off looking at where we can repurpose mining to create heat in the home. Unless there is a significant breakthrough in PV cells
first need a home thats the most important π
Correct, you could save up for a downpayment by installing solar ASIC systems in existing homes. Set up a profit sharing arrangement. Don't even mention bitcoin, just tell customers you're installing solar that pays a rebate. Start a company and build the future starting with existing solar installations.
man you giving me a idea but i need to see how it works in Aussie homes
Do it. The future ain't gonna build itself.
these machine will heat up the homes and generate noise as well day and night!!! Also thay gonna ask whats this for. well if you dint tell then govt. might say why you installing and not letting know what this device is. regulation aspect of mining
1. Vent the heat when you don't need it.
2. Many different noise reduction strategies: Mount the ASICs outdoors or in the basement/crawlspace. Use quiet fans. Use immersion or hydro cooling.
3. Solar powered miners don't run at night.
4. Don't break the law.
i have done discussion within my network and got some good reviews. cost is feed in tarriff to grid average aud 10cents per kwh in my area of QLD. with average of 5-7hrs per day. lets see if we can break and get profits.
Already on and in mineβ¦
If your utility offers time of use billing you can skip the solar panels and use a house battery with heating ASICs.
Top up the battery at night. Shift your flexible load to off peak hours. Stack sats every time you take a shower, heat your house, dry the laundry.
Brings a new meaning to the term coin laundry. πͺπ§Όπ
