That approach will always exist. The real question is about free market and value. If you think those things should not be blocked, I am sure a client and a relay that don't block those is going to appear and take over all the clients with filters today (which is all of them).
I think clients without filters have existed and failed miserably. Turns out people don't like seeing those things and just migrate to clients that offer better content out of the box.
The free market will choose the winners.
In the end, you can always say what you want on Nostr. But that doesn't trump the reader's right of choosing the best content.
