Não existe estado laico, essa afirmação é grotesca, a palavra teve seu sentido mudado e é usada para afirmar que o Brasil aceita todas as religiões, porém "laico" quer dizer leigo. Essa palavra era comumente usada na igreja católica romana para diferenciar o clerito "os religiosos que possuíam posições hierárquicas" dos laicos ou leigos.
